Why do I need a Gas Safety Certificate?
IT IS REQUIRED BY LAW!
CP42: Commercial Gas Safety Inspection (non-domestic) is the official name for a safety certificate that is issued annually by a registered Gas Safe engineer to cover all installation and appliances in your kitchen. If you don’t have an up-to-date CP42 then not only are you potentially uninsured and putting the health and safety of your employees and customers at risk, but you could also find yourself being prosecuted under Regulation 35 of the “Duties of Employers and self-employed persons” of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.

This inspection is just like a car MOT, all safety critical items are checked and you are advised of any defects.
Our experienced engineers will check all gas appliances, pipework, extraction systems and gas interlock systems, giving you peace of mind that your equipment has been fully tested and is certified safe.
We can carry out an on-site gas safety inspection at any time to suit your business. Clan ensure this is carried out with minimal fuss or disruption to normal service. As part of the inspection we will log all of your gas supplied equipment and make sure it’s safe. We can then supply you with a copy of the report along with an official gas safety certificate to be held on the premises for the year.
